26 June 2025
E-Cubed Goals has issued a news release titled "Establishment of Technology for Neutralizing and Completely Disposing of Ternary Lithium-Ion Batteries."
IToshiya Hamasaki, President and CEO of E-Cubed Goals Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), has announced the establishment of a groundbreaking technology—developed in collaboration with the laboratory of Professor Hiroshi Onoda at Waseda University’s Graduate School of Environment and Energy Engineering (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo)—that enables the deactivation and safe, complete disposal of ternary lithium-ion batteries.
This technology offers a solution to the issue of lithium battery disposal—a matter of growing social concern due to risks such as explosions and fires.
YRegarding this technology, in addition to a domestic patent application [Patent Application No. 2025-062818], we have filed an international patent application [PCT/JP2025/020863].
This initiative has been featured in over 110 media outlets—including the Nikkei and Mainichi newspapers, as well as numerous regional papers—and has generated a significant response.
It is being planned and developed by E-Cubed Goals.
